Very comfortable beds, close to the Riverwalk, nice big lobby with air conditioning. As it is a hotel that allows pets we knew there was a small chance of getting a room that smelled like dog, which I'm a bit allergic, and the room they gave us smelled strongly of wet dog. They were quick to assign us a new room and that one was nice dry and smelled nothing like dog, so we were very happy. The front desk staff was very nice.

The breakfast was good, but it was hot in there. The hotel was clean and most the staff was courteous but when we checked in the lady at the counter was not.

Location was great, perfect for walking around downtown, very close to the Riverwalk, various restaurants, and the Alamo. Appreciated the hotel parking lot as well.

Varying color lit pool, buffet( seven Texas waffle irons, sausage and eggs etc.), Rivercenter Mall across the street, Denny's even closer. Really chill cocktail lounge (The 501) really comfortable stylish seating, however the tables should be cocktail height (suggestion to management) it's literally the only thing missing. Apparently there's a dome really close by for the local sports and various other forms of entertainment. It's like the same distance from here as it is to be Alamo, or so I've been told. Just formed that triangle in my head, cool. But I digress. It's by far my new favorite place to stay downtown when I'm in San Antonio.

The location and affordability are hard to beat if you are attending a convention at the convention center. It was an easy walk, and I felt safe. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, and the room was a decent size. I also did not have to wait a long time for the elevator at the times when I was needing it.
